Daily Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of Episcopal identity. The Book of Common Prayer offers several options for daily prayer, either as individuals or in community.  These resources will help you as you develop this primary Christian discipline.

If you're new to daily prayer, the Online Daily Office has this helpful introduction, and also offers morning and daily prayer every day.

You can also read the daily office online at Mission St. Clare.

The Book of Common Prayer offers short daily devotions for morning, noon, evening, and late night. The classic Anglican form of prayer is the Daily Office, in both contemporary and traditional language.  The Prayer Book also includes prayers for a variety of topics. The entire Prayer Book is available online.

There are many other forms of Christian prayer as well--the most important aspect is that we have an ongoing conversation with God which invites the presence of the Holy Spirit to shape and form us as we live as followers of Christ.
