St. Laurence Episcopal Church’s mission is “To live the Word of God and to share it with all people.”
A Home for Worship
We worship together on Sunday mornings with services that use both traditional and contemporary prayers at 7:45 am and 10:30 am. Communion (the Eucharist) is central to our worship. We offer it every Sunday and everyone is welcome to receive it. On Wednesday evenings each week, we offer a prayer and meditation service at 6:00 pm and the Eucharist at 6:30 pm.
A Community of Service
St. Laurence is committed to being an inclusive parish where “All Find a Welcome.” We use our time and money to support outreach projects in the local community and around the world including a local food pantry and financial support for the Mountain Resource Center. We also organize and distribute of holiday food baskets and have a woodpile ministry.
A Place of Connection for All Ages
At St. Laurence, we have many opportunities to get to know others and to grow in our faith. We gather on Sunday mornings between the 2 services (around 9:15 am) for Adult Forum to read or watch DVDs that engage our minds and hearts. Adults also meet for Book Group in the evenings, reading 3-4 books a year. For our younger generation, we have a vibrant Sunday School ministry for young children.
